Chris Cedar
Chris Cedar has established himself as one of Queensland’s most respected coaches and mentors through a 2024–25 season defined by success, leadership, and service to the game. Balancing multiple high-performance and community roles, Chris has made a lasting contribution to basketball across education, state, and national pathways. He led Queensland’s Under 20 Men to a silver medal at the 2025 Foot Locker National Championships and continues to shape emerging talent through his work as Head Coach at Marsden State High School, where he guided the Open Boys team at CBSQ and supported the Under 15 program at nationals. Beyond the court, Chris’s role as Assistant Coach with Indigenous Basketball Australia and participation in the Indigenous vs Māori Clash highlight his influence in promoting cultural connection and opportunity through sport. In recognition of his ongoing professional development, he was awarded the Basketball Australia Aspire Advanced Coaching Scholarship in 2025. Driven by passion, purpose, and a commitment to developing others, Chris Cedar’s impact continues to strengthen the future of Queensland basketball.
