Basketball Queensland is inviting eligible athletes to register their interest for the 2027 Queensland U20 State Teams, with trials taking place across October and November.

The U20 State Teams will represent Queensland at the 2027 Australian Under-20 Championships, with athletes selected following a two-stage trial process.

2027 U20 State Team Trials

The trial process will be held across two stages at the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre, with the first trial specific to South athletes before North and successful South athletes progress to Trial #2.

Trial #1 – South Athletes

Saturday 31 October & Sunday 1 November
Venue: Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre

Trial #1 is open to South athletes only, with both Men's and Women's sessions held across the weekend.

Saturday 31 October

• 9:00am – 10:30am – Female Session 1
• 10:30am – 12:00pm – Male Session 1
• 12:30pm – 2:00pm – Female Session 2
• 2:00pm – 3:30pm – Male Session 2

Sunday 1 November

• 9:00am – 10:30am – Female Session 3
• 10:30am – 12:00pm – Male Session 3
• 12:30pm – 2:00pm – Female Session 4
• 2:00pm – 3:30pm – Male Session 4

Successful South athletes from Trial #1 will progress through to Trial #2.

Trial #2 – North & South Athletes

Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 November
Venue: Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre

Trial #2 will bring together North athletes and successful South athletes from Trial #1, with both Men's and Women's teams continuing the selection process.

Session times are currently TBC.

To assist North athletes travelling to Brisbane, Saturday's sessions will begin no earlier than 10:00am, allowing athletes to travel to Brisbane that morning. Sunday's sessions will finish no later than 4:00pm, allowing athletes the option of travelling home that evening.

Please note: North athletes are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to Trial #2. If selected in the Queensland State Team, Basketball Queensland will organise flights for athletes travelling to future camps.

Nationals Campaign

Athletes selected in the 2027 Queensland U20 State Teams will continue preparations ahead of the Australian Under-20 Championships.
