Queensland athletes selected for Australian U15 teams

Basketball Queensland congratulates Nahla Moke and Matthew Wickham on their selection in the Australian U15 teams set to compete at the 2026 FIBA U15 Oceania Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.

The pair are among 24 athletes selected to represent Australia at the international tournament, which will take place from 30 November to 5 December 2026. Both athletes will make their FIBA tournament debuts as they take their first steps on the international stage in the green and gold.

Nahla Moke has been selected in the Australian U15 Women’s team, while Matthew Wickham will represent the Australian U15 Men’s team.

The tournament marks an exciting milestone for the emerging athletes, providing valuable international experience as they continue their basketball development and compete against some of the best young talent in the Oceania region.

Australian teams Performance Pathway General Manager Peter Lonergan said the tournament would provide an important introduction to international basketball and the experience of representing Australia.

The FIBA U15 Oceania Cup plays a key role in developing international basketball across Australia and neighbouring regions. At the previous edition, held in Canberra in 2024, Australia claimed gold in both the men’s and women’s competitions.

Basketball Queensland congratulates Nahla and Matthew on their selection and wishes them all the best as they prepare to represent Australia in Auckland.

The tournament schedule and streaming details will be announced soon. For updates, visit the FIBA U15 Oceania Cup tournament website
