Basketball Queensland and Athlete Academy Supporting Athlete Health and Nutrition

Basketball Queensland and Athlete Academy Supporting Athlete Health and Nutrition

Since January this year, Basketball Queensland (BQ) has been working in partnership with Athlete Academy, led by accredited sports dietitian Andrew Hall, to deliver high-quality nutrition support across its athlete pathway and high performance programs.

Through this collaboration, Athlete Academy has become BQ’s official provider of nutrition services, delivering workshops, individual consultations, team programs and event support to athletes, coaches and associations across the state.

BQ’s Commercial and Marketing Manager, Lachlan Nuttall, said the partnership reflects a commitment to supporting athletes both on and off the court.

“We’re always looking for ways to better support the people in our game, and nutrition is a key part of that. Partnering with Athlete Academy means our athletes, coaches and teams have access to expert guidance that can have a real impact.”

Andrew Hall brings a wealth of experience, having worked with leading sporting organisations including the Brisbane Bullets, Broncos, and Brisbane Lions. He now brings that same level of professional insight to Basketball Queensland’s state teams and high performance programs.

Founder of Athlete Academy, Andrew Hall, highlighted the importance of nutrition for the young athletes.

"It’s a privilege to work in the basketball community and with Queensland’s best prospects. Nutrition plays a significant role in health and basketball performance, particularly development athletes. Having expert nutrition support and clarity is a powerful advantage."
