Basketball Queensland (BQ) is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with Cornerstone Courts through to the end of 2027, following a successful first year working together in 2025.
The renewed agreement will see Cornerstone Courts continue as an official partner of Basketball Queensland and the preferred provider of private basketball court installations, supporting increased access to basketball for families and communities across the state.
Since launching in 2025, the partnership has played an important role in promoting high-quality, affordable court solutions and helping bring basketball closer to home for Queensland families.
In 2025 alone, Cornerstone Courts delivered more than a hundred basketball court projects across Queensland, highlighting the growing demand for accessible, at-home and community basketball infrastructure.
The two-year extension reflects a shared commitment to building on that momentum and continuing to support participation at all levels of the game.
BQ Commercial and Marketing Manager, Lachlan Nuttall, said the extension was a natural progression after a strong first year.
“The partnership delivered real value in 2025, both in terms of engagement with our basketball community and the quality of solutions Cornerstone Courts provide,” Nuttall said.
“Extending the agreement allows us to keep working together to make basketball more accessible for families, while supporting the growth of the game across Queensland over the next few years.”
Cornerstone Courts General Manager, Simon Gough, said the business was proud to continue its relationship with Basketball Queensland.
“We’re extremely proud to extend our partnership with Basketball Queensland after such a strong first year working together,” Gough said.
“Basketball plays a huge role in our community, and through this partnership we’ve been able to help more families and players access high-quality court solutions at home, as well as extending our reach into schools and local council areas. We’re looking forward to continuing to support participation and the growth of the game across the state through to 2027.”
The extended partnership reinforces a shared focus on growing participation, improving access to quality facilities, and supporting the long-term development of basketball across Queensland.
