Basketball Queensland is pleased to announce a new partnership with AUSA Hoops, appointing them as the organisation’s Official College Pathways Partner through to the end of 2027.
AUSA Hoops is Australia’s leading provider of US college recruitment exposure, and the partnership reflects a shared goal to give Queensland athletes and coaches clearer access to education, support, and pathway opportunities beyond the domestic system.
“This partnership gives our athletes a real shot at something bigger,” said BQ Commercial & Marketing Manager, Lachlan Nuttall.
“AUSA Hoops are the best in the country at what they do, and by working together, we’re giving our members access to real opportunities, with real guidance, in a space that’s hard to navigate on your own.”
“We’re excited to partner with Basketball Queensland and extend genuine opportunities for young Queensland athletes to pursue their dreams in the US college system,” said Program Director Jordan Mullan.
“Our role is to make what can be a complex and overwhelming process more accessible and achievable, while also supporting coaches and families along the way. Together with BQ, we want to ensure that athletes not only get exposure, but also the right guidance to succeed both on and off the court.”

To celebrate the partnership, AUSA Hoops will host a series of Queensland trial events throughout September, October and November.

Supporting the full journey on and off the court:
This partnership highlights a growing need for structured college recruitment pathways in Queensland. While BQ continues to support elite athlete development through its high-performance programs, AUSA Hoops fills an important gap for those outside the system giving them clarity, guidance, and access to realistic international options.
Basketball Queensland looks forward to working closely with AUSA Hoops to ensure that athletes, coaches and families across the state are supported on their US college journey from their first trial to their first scholarship.
