CarCoop Joins Basketball Queensland as Official Naming Rights Partner of the Queensland State League

Basketball Queensland (BQ) is excited to announce a major new partnership with CarCoop, who will become the official naming rights partner of the Queensland State League (QSL) for the 2025 season.
CarCoop is one of the fastest-growing auto finance providers in the Australian market. With their Head Office in North Lakes, Queensland, CarCoop also operates in the Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. The company offers a range of late-model vehicle finance solutions, including rent-to-own and subscription options.
CarCoop specialises in serving the credit-challenged segment of the market — individuals who may be new to Australia or to their current employment, those rebuilding their financial standing, or those struggling to secure financing through traditional lenders. By offering flexible and accessible alternatives, CarCoop provides a unique pathway to vehicle ownership for Australians facing credit hurdles.
The partnership reflects the continued growth and success of the QSL, which has expanded from 36 teams in 2022 to 76 teams in 2025. The league now stretches from Bundaberg to the Gold Coast and out to Toowoomba, and features over 600 athletes.
As part of the partnership, CarCoop will present the "CarCoop Player of the Week" series, recognising standout individual performances throughout the season. Beyond the competition itself, CarCoop’s involvement will continue through a range of digital marketing campaigns, community promotions, and direct engagement activities across the Basketball Queensland network until March 2026.
Basketball Queensland’s Commercial and Marketing Manager, Lachlan Nuttall, said the partnership was a strong endorsement of the QSL’s development and the strength of Basketball Queensland’s growing community.
"We’re proud to welcome CarCoop as the QSL naming rights partner. The league has more than doubled in size over the past three years, and this partnership is a strong reflection of that growth.”
“CarCoop’s commitment to supporting community sport, alongside a practical and accessible transport service, makes them a great fit for our basketball community. Their backing will help us deliver even more value to our members across the state."
Founder and CEO of CarCoop, Nigel Sellars, said the new partnership builds on the brand’s growing presence within basketball.
"CarCoop is proud and excited to expand our involvement in basketball. We have already built strong connections within the sport and the broader community through our sponsorship of the Sunshine Coast Phoenix NBL1 North men’s and women’s teams, as well as our support of junior development pathways through the CarCoop Academy program."
The CarCoop QSL season began in March and runs through until July, with partnership activations and engagement continuing across Basketball Queensland’s platforms until March 2026.
