QHoops Returns for Term 2 2026

Basketball Queensland is excited to welcome families back to QHoops in Term 2 2026, with programs running across multiple regions throughout the state.
Designed for children aged 2–5 years old, QHoops provides the perfect first step into basketball. Delivered in a fun, safe and supportive environment, each 35-minute session focuses on movement, coordination and confidence, helping youngsters build a love for the game from their very first dribble.
The six-week program is priced at $130 (GST inclusive) + $7.44 yearly Introduction to Basketball membership fee. Returning participants will receive $30 off! Each registration including mini hoops, basketballs, a QHoops t-shirt, and a Size 3 basketball for every child to keep and continue practising at home.
Term 2 2026 QHoops locations:
- Townsville (Townsville Basketball Stadium) – Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays starting 8 May
- Rockhampton (Bravus Arena) – Mondays, starting 11 May
- Gold Coast (Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre) – Mondays, starting 11 May
- Gladstone (Kev Broome Stadium) – Tuesdays, starting 5 May
- Bundaberg (Bundaberg Basketball Stadium) – TBC
- Noosa (Noosa Leisure Centre) – Thursdays, starting 7 May
- Ipswich (Ipswich Basketball Stadium) – Wednesdays, starting 6 May
- Upper Mount Gravatt (Hibiscus Stadium) – Saturdays, starting 9 May
- Burdekin (Burdekin Basketball Stadium) – Wednesdays, starting 6 May
- Moreton Bay (Morayfield Sports and Events Centre) - TBC
- Carina (Rowland Cowan Stadium) - TBC

Registrations will be available via Basketball Connect, with places limited at each venue. Families are encouraged to register early once entries open to avoid missing out.
QHoops is where Queensland’s youngest players take their first dribble on the basketball journey, and Term 2 2026 is set to be another great season of fun, movement and learning.
