Rocco Tracker: Zikarsky Turns Heads at NBA Draft Combine

Queensland junior and Brisbane Bullets centre Rocco Zikarsky made his mark at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, reinforcing his status as one of Australia’s most promising young prospects.

Standing 7-foot-3 with a massive 9-foot-6½ standing reach, Zikarsky was the tallest player at the event, earning praise from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, who labelled the measurement “outrageous.”

He backed it up on court, impressing in drills and athletic testing:

  • 13-of-25 in the 3-point star shooting drill
  • 14-of-30 off the dribble
  • 9-of-10 from the free throw line

NBA scouts and analysts highlighted his unique profile, with ESPN’s Jeremy Woo noting:

“Zikarsky still has a lot to offer physically, with good coordination for his size and the ability to impact shots around the rim... Players with his physical profile aren’t easy to find.”

Zikarsky embraced the moment, sharing:

“I think of myself as a pretty special talent... If I can show one team, if I can show 10 teams how special I really am, that’s all that matters to me.”

He joins fellow Australians Alex Condon, Alex Toohey, Tyrese Proctor and Ben Henshall in this year’s NBA Draft class, continuing a strong pipeline of Australian talent on the global stage.

The 2025 NBA Draft will be held on June 26 and 27 at Barclays Center in New York.
